Karen Blixen Museum
Located near Nairobi, Karen Blixen Museum was opened in 1986. The Museum was a farmhouse of a Danish author, Karen Blixen and exhibits beautiful collection of photographs and furniture.

National Museum of Kenya
National Museum of Kenya is located in Nairobi and showcases a variety of cultural and natural history exhibitions. The place exhibits prehistoric artifacts discovered by the Leakey family, fossils from the Lake Turkana and around 900 stuffed animals and birds. There is also a collection of bones and fossils from the prehistoric period in the ‘early man’ section of the museum.

Railway Museum
Located on the Uhuru Highway, the Railway Museum exhibits a collection of train and ship models, old steam engines built between 1923 and 1955, railway magazines, railway maps, photographs of the original construction of the Uganda railway along with the model of the MV Liemba built by the Germans.

National Archives
Situated in an old building, National Archives is a beautiful place exhibiting the Kenyan history. There is a public gallery with a good collection of domestic artifacts, ethnography weapons, musical instruments and drawings on the ground floor. The first floor showcases paintings of Mzee Kenyatta along with some photographs of the Mau detention. On the second floor there is a reading room meant for personal and professional projects. One can also find a collection of Kenyan handicrafts in the National Archives.
